Bevel Kit is one plugin that adds to the free Elementor editor everything a site needs and Elementor Pro would otherwise sell: a Theme Builder with display conditions, popups, loops, a mega menu, forms with a submissions inbox, dynamic tags, custom fonts, icons and code, sticky and motion effects, and 24 widgets of its own. It also carries the parts no page builder ships: a Site Settings screen in wp-admin, a one-click optimizer, WebP conversion, a database cleaner, a site-kit importer and a disk page cache. Everything is free and runs on your site. There is no licence key. A Bevel account, free to start, holds Bevel MCP’s daily AI generations and opens the pro template library, and nothing inside the plugin waits on it.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.8 or newer, PHP 8.0 or newer.
  • Elementor 3.25 or newer. The Kit declares Elementor as a required plugin; WordPress will not activate it without Elementor.
  • Any theme. The Bevel theme is the natural pairing, but the theme builder takes over any theme’s header, footer, single and archive.
Elementor Pro is not a requirement and not a conflict. See Working next to Elementor Pro.

Install

Upload the plugin under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, or copy the folder to wp-content/plugins/bevel-kit, then activate it. A bare site fills itself in on the next admin load: the starter site settings, a front page, header, footer, single, archive and 404 templates and a main menu. Nothing is downloaded; the starter set ships inside the plugin. See Starter Templates.

The plugin adds one top-level menu, Bevel, right after Dashboard: Elementor’s own menu entries for Theme Builder, Custom Fonts, Custom Icons and Custom Code, which open Pro upsells in the free editor, are pointed at the Kit’s screens instead.

What it pins

Elementor 4 ships its next-generation editor experiments on by default and hidden. Every widget, control and template in the Kit is built against Elementor’s current element model, so the Kit keeps those experiments off unless a site chose them deliberately.
