Any theme works with Bevel Kit. The Bevel theme is the smallest, fastest foundation for it, but the Kit’s theme builder takes over the header, footer, single and archive of whatever theme is active. Bevel MCP needs a reachable site. claude.ai and ChatGPT connect from their cloud, so a site on your own machine works only with a desktop client such as Claude Code. See Connecting an assistant.

Server

  • The page cache writes to wp-content/cache, wp-content/advanced-cache.php and wp-config.php, and needs those to be writable while it is switched on.
  • WebP conversion needs GD with WebP support or Imagick; the panel says which it found.
  • Site kit import needs PHP’s ZipArchive.
  • Fonts and icon sets are written under wp-content/uploads/bevel/.

Multisite

The plugins work per site. On a network, SVG uploads are allowed to users who manage the site’s options, since the unfiltered-HTML capability is reserved to the network administrator.
